Countdowns...

Countdowns...good or bad... the countdown to my vacation is on.  The vacation is a good thing...the countdown...not so good.  I went all last week thinking this is my last Tuesday before vacation...this is my last Friday... it made each of those days so much harder.   But....now it's almost here so the countdown is a good thing...only one more Monday and then....vacation!  Speaking of countdowns...I mentioned in an earlier post about how close we are to Christmas.  Did you know at Longaberger we have something for everyone??  Take a look at our Wishlist and I'm sure you will find something for everyone on your gift list.

Did I mention I had a cup/mug passion?  LOL.  So...the most recent addition to my collection would be the Candy Corn Travel Mug.  It is just so cute I think!  I love the idea of a travel mug that I can pop in the microwave.  Usually, when leaving the house I like to zap my drink and get it good and hot.  Most of my travel mugs are not microwavable or they are plastic!  How odd is that?  Why put some kind of metal on a travel mug?  And how well will plastic hold heat?  Not very.  This mug is made of fine vitrified china.  In simple terms, that means it keeps hot things hot and cold things cold.  And it fits in most microwaves.  My new one is tiny and it fits.  Another good thing about it is it's nonpourous.  It does not stain!  www.longaberger.com/juliecottrill

Drinking from a pretty cup

What can I say?  I like coffee mugs.  I am a collector of coffee mugs.  Some I use, some I don't.  I like my current favorites to be on display, not shut up in the cabinet with no one to see them but me when I open the cabinet door each morning for my cup.  I keep my favorite mugs of the season proudly displayed above and sometimes beside my stove.  Here is a pic from this winter and snowman mugs that my very best friend in the whole world gave me one year for Christmas.  These mugs, I don't use to drink out of but I use them to hold things like cheese spreaders, sweetner packs, teabags, or whatever. 

But that was winter and now it is summertime!  So my favorite and newest mug is my Botanical FieldsTM Mug.  I got these mugs about a month ago.  Not only are they pretty, but they are big.  And I like nothing better than to have a BIG cup of coffee in the morning!  One side has flowers and the other has a blue butterfly.  So...for the time being, here is my fav mug.  What makes it even better, is it's a Longaberger mug!  That means it's fine vitrified china.  What does that mean?  It's freezer, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe!  Yes... I said oven safe?  Have you heard of cake in a cup??  Well... here is the cup you can bake it in!

So this weekend was spent doing things online to help my business. I participated in some chats on business networking sites. I've also been trying to network with more and more small business owners. There are alot of folks out there working to make a go of their business. It's time we walk away from the big retailers and help others like ourselves. What a beautiful day it looks like it's going to be today! I'm off to start my day, but wanted to get a quick post in. Hello! I'm Julie and I'm a fairly new Longaberger Home Consultant. When most hear Longaberger they think baskets. I am more than a basket lady and that's what I hope to tell you about in the days, weeks, and months to come. First let me tell you about myself. I'm married and live in WV. That's not western Virginia, but West Virginia. Yes we are a state! A beautiful state. Come visit us! I work at a local Curves gym as a fitness trainer and assistant manager. Curves is a facility specially designed for women that features 30 minute circuit training and a weight management plan. If you are a woman and haven't visited a Curves in your area, you should. I love my job. I help women feel better about themselves every day. I have a married daughter and a grandson. I've been dabbling in direct sales for the past 10 years or so. I currently sell Avon & Mia Bella candles in addition to Longaberger products. At one time I sold coffees and teas and 'make your own' jewelry. I was a crafter for several years and sold my products in booths and at shows. Even though I've dabbled in direct sales for awhile, I had my first home show last night. I never ever thought I would do a home show. Think again! Enough about me now... In my next post, I'll tell you a bit about Longaberger.
